The Embryonic Stem Cell Core (ESCC) was established in 1998 in response to the need for this technology by University Investigators. The mission of the ESCC is to provide access to gene targeting in an efficient, effective manner. This includes 1) consultation in experimental design of targeting construct, 2) gene targeting in embryonic stem (ES) cell, and 3) support services.
