The UCLA transgenic facility provides UCLA School of Medicine research investigators access to the latest technology for generating transgenic and gene targeted animals at a reasonable cost. We also offer related services such as embryo collection, cryopreservation, strain rederivation and in vitro fertilization. Facility staffs also provide the expertise and consultation on mouse genetics, gene targeting and transgenic constructing. The facility is supported by School of medicine Dean's office, UCLA's Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology. The transgenic facility is located at UCLA Gonda building. The animals are housed in the state-of-the-art pathogen-free barrier animal facility at Gonda vivarium.
